Privacy policy

This is a translation for convenience; the German version (Datenschutzerklärung) is the legally binding one. It covers the NEB Network App website. The app has its own privacy policy.

1. At a glance

This website uses no cookies, no analytics or tracking tools and no third-party content. Fonts, images and videos are loaded from our own server. Personal data is only processed in the server log files and when you send us an email.

4. Hosting and server log files

The website runs on servers in Germany operated by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.

Each time the website is accessed, the server automatically stores: IP address, date and time of access, the page or file requested, HTTP status code, amount of data transferred, the previously visited page (referrer), and browser type and operating system.

This data is used to deliver the website, keep it stable and secure, and fend off attacks. It is not combined with other data and not used for marketing. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (e) GDPR in conjunction with §§ 4–9 DSAG LSA. Log files are deleted after seven days at the latest.

5. Storage in your browser (language choice)

When you switch the language, your choice (the language’s code, such as “de” or “fr”) is saved in your browser's local storage (localStorage), so the website opens in that language on your next visit. This information never leaves your device. Saving it is strictly necessary for the service you asked for (§ 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG). You can delete it at any time by clearing this website's data in your browser.

6. Contact by email

If you email us (for example at neb-network-app@reallabor-zekiwa-zeitz.de), we process your email address and the details in your message to answer your request. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (e) GDPR in conjunction with §§ 4–9 DSAG LSA. We delete the data once it is no longer needed, unless statutory retention periods apply.

7. Fonts

The fonts used (Inter, Space Grotesk, Space Mono, and for the Ukrainian version also Manrope and JetBrains Mono) are stored on our own server. Loading the website makes no connection to Google or any other font provider.

8. Links to other websites

This website contains links, for example to the Reallabor ZEKIWA Zeitz, the New European Bauhaus, ResearchGate, OpenStreetMap and the NEB Network App. Data is only sent to those providers once you click a link; their privacy policies then apply.

9. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), and to object on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR). Please send requests to betroffenenrechte@hs-anhalt.de or to the postal address above.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The competent authority is:
